Same call from a person with a strong accent, had dozens upon dozens of this type of call asking for random names. It's my office line that receives these calls and we have no way of finding the people they are asking for. I finally got some info out of a recent caller saying he was calling on behalf of the James Anderson Clinic for Adults out of New York???? But thats all the info he would give me, he also said he had confidential documents for that person..
this was a call saying they were with irs and i could be arrested for tax fraud first off the irs never calls you next they dont ask for a payment over the phone or anything else this is a complete scam if someone calls you call the irs or call the fraud hot line or the atty generals offfice
You are right, this alleged IRS Officer, James Anderson, with a heavy foreign accent, called twice yesterday from the number 202-738-1757. Since I blocked such number, he called today from this new number. Probably these are spoofed numbers, I did not waste my time reporting this low-life to the authorities.
Caller claimed to be from the IRS saying I was under investigation for tax fraud. Being a CPA I knew he was full of it. People like this need stopped before someone actually falls for this stunt.
