IF you had applied for a federal grant, you would NOT have to pay any money to get it! Having to pay money upfront for either a loan or a grant - or "winnings" is a sure sign of a scam.
Randomly picked my number for a Federal grant for payment of taxes on time. $6700 to be released Monday if I just get a Walmart money card in the amount of $290 to cover state taxes they can cut my check. Right, like they'd be working on a Saturday afternoon making random calls in a government agency..... I told them I thought they were scamming me and was contacting BBB....
