Called my landline on 4/ 26/2017 at 11:55 AM and CID displayed "V426235445000097 202-945-4662" and of course, no message was left. Since VM was left, the call wasn't important to begin with. I don't know anybody who resides in Washington DC. Most likely another scam.
Called twice in rapid succession. First Caller ID name was V50906452300016, the second was "EMPOWER MD". However, EmPOWER MD is a program of the Maryland State government, with a 410 area code. I doubt they're calling, much less with a 202 (DC) area code.
Folks on other sites confirm it's a telemarketer. Some say they claim to be calling on behalf of Pepco, one of the regional electrical power companies, offering solar panels "for nothing". Sounds like a scam, and Pepco would know I already have solar panels. Some others say they've gotten calls from this number "offering to fix your computer" which would definitely be a scam.
