I am getting the same calls that you are. I was bored one day so I decided to answer the call and they were threatening me with sending an "investigator" to my work and they will haul me to jail. The guy that talks to me in a very heavy accent says his name is " John Johnson", which I doubt it is his real name. Be careful who you talk to and know your rights!
Yes I too was called from this bogus # and your right they are just scammers trying to make a buck. You know the almighty dollar nearly means nothing anymore so why not try and get all you can even if it means hurting people to get it. These are the kind of scum balls that take advantage of our elderly and rob them of their life savings....I HOPE THAT ALL OF YOU WHO GET THE SAME CALL PUT THESE SCUM BALL'S IN THEIR PLACE. I received a call from this number 203-201-2000 - no voice mail was left. When I dialed the number a recording comes on stating number I have reached is not in service.
These folks are still calling, the only time I answered it was a female with an Indian accent telling me of some sort of "approval" for me and only needed my approval to ship to me which is when I simply hung up.
We got a very threatening phone call on Nov. 10, 2010 from this number. The man had an African-American voice and said he was going to send a bunch of thugs to our house to collect ten grand we supposedly owed. We don't owe anyone any money and this was very disconcerting. No company name was mentioned.
