Like a few people here, I got a call from a woman with a thick South Asian accent saying that I'd filled out a ballot at a grocery store or department store last July, and that I'd won a choice from 5 prizes -- an HD TV, $1000, or 3 trips. I was skeptical but I remembered that I had filled out one or two ballots in the last year, and the woman had my address. I told her that I would call her back, and she gave me a (647) number that I think is just a random person's cell phone, and they kept hanging up on me... they I *69'd to get this (203) number. Pretty sketchy...
Someone from this number keeps calling. I do not answer instead, looked up the number since my husband's ex has collection agecies looking for her...was just curious who it was this time!!!! Now that I know its a scam, I won't call them back.
Got a call from this jerk who said that my generous donation last year did not go un-noticed... He was with the association for families of slain officers.... or something like that.... When I asked him if this was a solicitation he said no... we gave him $$$ last year (which we did not)! I asked him again and he just replied, "OK I'm gonna call back" Then quickly hung up.
