The caller left a message and said she was "Susan (no last name)" from Federal Investigation Department calling to inform me that there was a case filed against my name. She added that if I did not call back the case would be proceeded in a legal way....when I called back a voice message answered saying "Thank you for calling. We are currently closed." The voice machine had no mentioning about the name of the office or the organization. I mean, I believe any governmental office or even company office would mention their name in their answering machine, don't they? If they call me again I will take as much information as possible about THEM and see what information of mine is leaked out there so that I can file a report with the real FBI.
Just got this call, scared my friends, put the call on speaker phone... they asked a bunch of questions...about my past due taxes and how I filled, and gave me a case # that was short for the IRS... they new my mailing address... and some other information... do not fear... IRS does not do outbound calls... they do all my mail in writing...
They called me from NY many times, once I got they are fraud I never pick up the phone and added all their NY numbers to black list. Next day they called me from this number 203-340-6914 I pick up phone and hear the same voice (they always leave voice mails). Seems they are located somewhere in India or so and just use fake phone.
A lady called me 3 times in a row. The first time I asked who she was calling with and she said the IRS, strong Indian accent, so I hung up. She called again and I ignored the call. She called a third time and I picked up and asked what it is they wanted. She YELLED at me and said "ma'am how dare you hang up the phone" I told her that was none of her business and to state her business or else I was hanging up again. Then she informed me the IRS was suing me for tax evasion I told her that was a load of crap and hung up. I immediately added the number to my blocked calls list and in the few seconds it took to do that she attempted to call again.
