Received the same BS call this afternoon asking to speak to the person using a computer in our household. Advised that it was leaking personal information. I asked where he was calling from he said "Internet Service Provider" something or other. I said "Do you really think I'm that F**king stupid" ...he hung up lol. Sounds legit! lol
Got a call from this number today....the caller said they were calling from 'Internet Server Management' connected to and hired by Bell, Rogers & Shaw. None of which are my internet providers. She just didn't want to give up and she did get angry at me for not wanting to do as she was telling me with my computer.
I tried to be polite, but finally just had to hang up.
I know all she wanted me to do was open up my computer and look at the standard issue 'error' messages it contains. Then hope that my 'terror' would get me to enlist their help. Sorry, not today lady.
Just got a call from the East Indian guy... told me my computer was leaking information. And have I noticed any of the warning messages they've been sending me. I said no... he said they were on the right-hand side of my screen... and to go sit down in front of my computer now. I said no and hung up!
I just re-dialled the number... it rang and rang... then the Verizon Wireless voicemail message came on saying the customer was unavailable =) When he called previously, it sounded like he was in a call centre. Probably sitting in a mall food court, lol....
I just got the same call. I told the east indian woman my computer was off. She assured me it was still leaking personal information. Ha ha ha. I call the #2035701988 back and got the same version message. I'm sick of our isp not shutting these people down.
