I recieved a phone call on my cell from 205-ooo-oooo.
They left a text message: I love you and hope to see you soon. The first one said a friend gave them my number. I don't think this to be true.
I traced the call to a 209 exchange which is Merced Califronia.I also learned it could have come through a .net IPS . It appears to be a generic IPS. The way I got there ; I typed in: www.us.gov.net.
This is not a United States Government IPS . They use. org. I was looking for . org.
On July 26.2014, I received a several calls from 205-000-0000, the man identified himself as John, and allegedly worked for Microsoft. He said my computer had issued a 'need tech help' signal to them, and when I told him that was nonsense because all my computers had Linux Mint 17, he got very nasty, so I hung up.... since there is no way someone that rude would be representing Microsoft. He quickly called back, and I told him one more call, and I would report him to the Do Not Call List... he didn't care, so I hung up and sent the report. He tried to reach me again three more times, but I just picked up the handset, and quickly hung it up each time. I also sent a note to both of the U.S. Senators from my state, just in case they can rattle a few cages. We'll see. By the way, In the initial call, this character began asking me how many computers I had, desktops and laptops, I told him it was none of his business, and that Microsoft would not try to hide their number or name from Caller ID. It smelled like a pfishing trip to me... so don't answer any questions. Good luck to the rest of you folks.
