Scammers have found another way to beat AT&T - since the exchange (4-6 digits) cannot begin with 0 or 1, AT&T will NOT let me block it - says invalid number. AT&T - how about you work on NOT letting them call ME ???
If you press the *60 (if you have AT&T landline blocking service) and then press # 01 # then it will automatically block the last number that called you, even spoofed invalid numbers. I just did it for this number, and my request was accepted just fine. Even though AT&T services for call blocking are minimal and practically useless, it's still good to report these numbers to the FTC and Do-Not-Call list, as other more progressive companies will add it to their black lists. The fewer people that they can connect with, the less likely they will ever be successful with a scam.
I agree with you. AT&T is a joke, all they want is to charge you an enormous amount every month. Better yet why don't they let us block an unlimited amount of calls if they won't help.
Yes this number has been caling me for weeks ..ID says its from Alabama... I never answer strange numbers just becuase of this. Forget the do noit call list..its useless. I filed compaints every week for about a year. The calls would stop for a while then just start up again with another number.!!!!... I like the idea of blowing a whistle into the phone and hanging up....but thats too much effort for me... I finally got a majic jack and do not give anyone my number exept those I wish to call me and I kept my landline with a recorder on it just to screw with them. I give everybody that number HA HA !! Good luck baby!..Its cheep entertainment now!!! :)
