That is an absurd statement. Phones are for emergency calls, friends, family, doctor return calls, church related calls etc. To turn off the phone would prevent important calls. Besides I pay my phone bill and it is to be for my use not spam calls, not telemarketers, surveys, political calls. These type of calls that call every day or even several times a day are harassing calls. You need to get real and think before you blurt out ridiculous comments. It is a shame I had to explain this as I would explain it to a two year old. Perhaps you are one of these callers. hummmm.
Then why lock your doors? Why lock your windows? Why lock your car? How inconvenient! You might like to leave your door open all night for the fresh air. Your phone is a direct connection to YOU! It must be protected the same way. Oh look! I live in a magical Kingdom where crooks don't call me!
So we should turn off our phones and keep from receiving calls we DO want because crooks call us? Or, we could just invest in a call blocker (kinda like door locks but for a phone). If we don't want to do that, we can simply not answer calls from unknown numbers. See? No reason to turn off our phones.
