I have received numerous call from this number. I NEVER answer any call from any entity that I do not recognize, or which appears as UNKNOWN on Caller ID. Ostensibly this call originates in the 205 area code of Alabama. There is, of course, no guarantee that this not a spoofed number; many scammers use spoofed numbers to trap people into thinking that the call is a local call. Do not EVER answer a call from any so-called company or person whom you do not know--period! Once you answer, they know that it is a working number. Just let them keep calling, and you just keep not answering them. Also, write, or telephone, your states' attorney general, and/or legislator(s) (Federal), and complain about these calls. Provide them with the list of numbers you have received, and ask them to investigate these scammers, and where applicable, ask for legislation to more effectively go after these criminals. In the case of off-shore calls, ask that the US government threaten the governments of such countries and/locals with sanctions, or other actions aimed at forcing them to go after, and shut down, these operations. Keep in mind, too, that many of the scams originate with American sources, who simply employ off-shore call centers, and use spoofed numbers to do so. In some instances, disreputable individuals, including lawyers, have been found to be behind some of these scams. These individuals are familiar with every legal loophole to get around, or try to get around the laws of this country. All individuals, including those working in these call centers, should be put in prison. They are despicable human beings trying to fleece innocent, and in many instances, vulnerable individuals.
