Call with voice mail stating that they have ""received an order for 2 allegations to be filed against you Immediately with the county clerk's office. This department will be actively pursuing you at your place of employment and your residence. You do have the legal right to resolve this case with the plaintiff outside of court. Please understand that once you are located, you do forfeit that right. You can contact our legal department at 251.301.9797. Refer to your case # 248399"".
Unless you get WRITTEN proof of this "problem" that is MAILED to you, consider it to be a SCAM. You are not warned if a summons is coming and phone calls, faxes & emails are NOT considered official notification as per the FDCPA.
I too received the same call/message on my home phone (with different case #). I am assuming another one of those scammers as I have fallen prey to them in the past. I have always been told unless I receive something via US mail to ignore these guys.
