Portfolio Recovery - funny - there is a class action suit against them right now for calling even after put on Do Not Call List.....

DNC doesn't apply to collection calls. Just helpful info. If you inform they have wrong number, record, ask for the rep's name, and if they call back, you have a lawsuit filing on hand.

DNC does apply to collection calls.  Refer to the consumer protection.  As someone else noted Portfolio Recovery has been and is still being sued for ignoring that.
