May 17, 2016 - I got the same prerecorded male voice message to my landline which is on the national DNC list. The prerecorded message started with "Attention all seniors between 55 and 85 . . ." an eventually gave an option to Press 1 for an agent. I kept listening, and the prerecorded message continued with "there are no medical exams" required, and then said to "Press 1 now to speak to an agent" or press 9 to opt out. I pressed 1, and got a live agent named Mercedes. She said she was with United Life Insurance which represents 55 companies. She gave their number as 205-490-7464. NOTE: The number on my caller ID for their prerecorded call to me was 843-598-7642. When I called that 843 number today, I got a prerecorded message that I had reached a Verizon Wireless number that had been changed or disconnected.
I'm at the point if the call is out of state, then I don't even want to hear the phone ring. So, I pick up and hang up. Then I enter the # here. Very rarely do I not find the phone # on 800notes. Scumbags.
Repeat caller having to do without senior life insurance. Even after screwing with them last call I'm still on their list. Guess they'll stop calling or I'll block them.
I was expecting a call from a friend and didn't look a caller ID, shame on me. I let them rattle on for a few seconds. I told them I was the cleaning lady and they would have to call the person of the house. They were eager to do so, so I gave them the number for the police department and to ask for Mrs. BOLO. I think this will stop them from calling me. It's work on other scam calls. The calls dropped from 15 a day to about 1 to 2 a week.
