Semi-intelligent (VRU) robo-call, I'm sure we'll see more of these.
After waiting for initial response, the voice starts up with a live-SOUNDING person which interacts based on your "Huh?", "Hello?", "Sure", etc. responses.
This one purports to be a cruise-line seeking to fill empty rooms - legit or not, I just blocked it.
Tip: If you pick up the phone from an unknown number, simply don't say anything at first. Most robo-calls will then drop the line and you'll know it was just that. Alternatively, if they SAY anything you can get a hint of who they are or what they want.
Either way, it beats answering and thus getting on their (or their cohorts') 'call back - got a live person' list.
They call but they do not leave a voice mail. When I called them back, I heard strange voices like somebody was drowning and then a recorded voice said: "Leave your message for 348" it disconnected before she finishes! and the number 348 is different with 205-719-2059. This company or person is redirecting calls to people's number or anything else!!!
