I kept getting calls from this number. They would claim they are from the IRS, and that I over $1,500 (which I don't). He said that the IRS doesn't call people unless they don't reply to the mail that was sent to them that they owe the IRS. I am more than angry, I am sick of the calls. I told them to send me another notice in the mail and not to expect anything out of me (I am a single mother, finishing school, doing therapy three times a week with my two year old daughter). ENOUGH!

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
I got a call from this number today (12-10-14) they told me it was the IRS and that I owed them money. From 2008- 2012 witch is pretty hard to believe because I was a minor at that time. Anyways in went into the nearest IRS office just to be shur but, THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY THING!
I got a call today as well! (12/10/14) I missed it and they left a voicemail. There was a lot of background noise and it sounded like someone with an Indian accent but then it kept fluctuating! So sketch! The accent wasn't even consistent. Everyone's is telling me it's a scam. There is NO way I owe the IRS anything! This is ridiculous.
Total scam. Originates in either India or Pakistan.

RS does not file lawsuits. Tax disputes are civil matters. 90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively. IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job. IRS does not cold call anyone and all contacts are initiated by US mail.
