The 206 number is a fake. (Scammers !) The IRS officer I talked to last year stated the IRS do not call taxpayers on the phone. Call them in Washington, DC and ask them you will see this is true. You can check on your status with the Internal Revenue online. Just remember that they are mostly nice people just like you - so you be nice too. Human beings answer the phone at the IRS not machines.
