Had this number on my cell phone the other day--no message left. Today I answered, and no one said anything, but got a beep, and then call ended. Almost disappointed I didn't get to tell them they will be reported as a scam!
They called my work cell phone saying they were following up on an online survey and need to verify my information to see if I qualify for any jobs they have. I never took an online survey and I definitely wouldn't have used my work number for a job search!
I got this call too. It is actually a recording. Like a prank or maybe a verbal phishing scheme to get some personal information out of you so they can call back later. There are Internet sites that let you call someone as a prank and spoof the calling number. So this number is probably spoofed. That should be illegal but it is not. Please write your Congressional representatives and ask them to make it illegal. It is getting to the point you cannot answer your own phone anymore! And they are using your cell phone minutes now, too.
Same here. A male person told me he would follow up on a job search via online survey I participated. I don't remember doing this for the last couple of months and after asking on which website I apparently filled out a survey (3 times, more an more angry with each time I had to ask for this information, this guy hung up on me.
I got the same phone number called my work cell phone, and I got similar information as yours that they asked me to finish my online survey. I told them that I didn't fill any application,and I am not interested in it. However, the caller still kept explain.......
