In any event, I just had to reset my phone and got a text from this same number, (206)489-3444 which had something to do with just verifying my log on. If my experience is typical, it isn't anything to concern yourself with but it is likely one app or another verifying a log in process.

Sorry, I too should mention I am from Toronto. The first person above that also claims to have received a TextSecure verification number from it is also from Canada. It is an American based service but likely hits Canada more often.
Anyhow at this point in time, I wouldn't be concerned about it.
