So all telemarketing calls are scams? Thats just ignorant. Your solution is to waste their time? Did it ever occur to you that maybe a mom who has kids to feed and a dying husband to care for might be doing the only legal thing she can to make money? Times are tough its not like there are a ton of jobs out there for even people with degrees. Ive been doing this since I was 16 except for the 2 years I took off to go to school which I had to quit when my husband got sick and could no longer support us. I have always refused to work for any company that is not legitimate. Ive sold actual tangible items to many interested people and dealt with an untold number of jerks and morons like yourself. If you dont want what Im selling there is an easy way to deal with it. You can simply say Im not interested,if you dont want me to call back simply say please put me on your do not call list and I will follow my companies do not call policy, which at most companies will keep you from getting calls for anywhere from 1-7 years. If your a douche and play the oh Ill pretend like Im interested even though Im not game, which by the way does not fool me, I will screw with you to. You may get calls from my company as many times as possible or perhaps your number will somehow end up on craigslists adult section or various bathroom stall walls. Its not really a good idea to act like a weasel when your dealing with someone whos stuck in a job they hate and has your home phone number and address.
You should probably be fired if that is what you do to people when they give you problems for calling. Too bad no one knows where you work otherwise we would make it a personal game to make sure you do. Have you ever thought that maybe it gets tiring of the same telemarketers calling over and over again, day and night? Your suggestion of putting yourself on the do not call list doesn't work and telling you "honest telemarketers" that you are not interested doesn't help. You should be ashamed that this is the work that you do. Harassing people isn't anyone's idea of a legitimate job. It's people like you that deserve to have what you have,a struggle to take care of your kids and dying husband. Especially if all you are going to do is threatening to put phone numbers on craigslist and the bathroom walls. Sounds like you deserve everything that is bad going on in your life.
