Don't you know? ... "Political Surveys" are exempt from the DNC list!
ANYONE can call your number by just saying they want you to answer a few of their survey questions first. THEN they ask for your credit card numbers and any other information they can con you into giving them.
I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I am also on the National Do Not Call List. If this were a legitimate "political survey" I would think that they would have something other than "Skip Tel" as the name of the caller. Ugh...I hate these guys.
Hung up when I answered incoming. Callback to them (thanks Caller ID) received a pre-recorded message that it was for a political survey, but the time for the survey had "expired" (this, within seconds of their calling me.) The recording further said, if I wanted out of future calls, I should press "1" to be removed from the list (which I did). We'll see...
Called several times and never left message. I finally called the number back and appears to be political opinion survey and gives option to not receive calls from this number again by pressing '1'. However, after pressing '1' automated message begins with 'Thank you for requesting to take the survey..."
Called my home number and I didn't answered, so they called my cellular number. I have Verizon, went to my account online and blocked out this number :-).
My phone numbers have been registered to the no-call list (gov. website). However, it does not filter out certain calls such as surveyers, charity and political calls. The government should make an exception to include these annoying calls to disabled homeowners such as I am. It is hard enough for me to run to the phone when it rings. I had enough of it to a point that I am no longer answering my home phone. I am paying for my phone line for emergency purpose, I should have the right to filter out who's calling me without having to pay extras and struggling just to keep it!
