Now Pita, little old ladies aren't any more stupid that you for saying that. I'm a 68 year old retired English Teacher and I've been around the block a few times. I can smell bad cabbage a few feet away.
Guys, you're going about this all wrong. When they call, push 1 to talk to a representative. Tell them you want more details. Engage them with questions as long as you can. Then say, your not interested at this time. Remember, every minute they spend talking they have to pay the long distance charges. If enough people listen for 5 minutes and don't buy, they'll go out of business because of soaring long distance charges... :)
Yeah, Right. Like I got the time to do that. If it was only one call a month or so, maybe. But I get 2 or 3 of these a day. Different numbers. Oh, wait, I know....just don't answer and they will quit calling, right? Nope. Oh, wait, just press 1 to be taken off their call list, that will work. Nope. Blow a whistle in their ear, they won't call back, right? Nope.
And anything else you can think of, they won't stop calling. Ever.
I keep getting calls from 206-496-0715 and when I pushed 1 to talk to someone I asked him to remove my name from their list and he hung up on me---I called right back and the phone just rings and rings with no answer---these companies that are doing this need to be held accountable by someone somewhere and since our current government feels they need to be involved in all aspects of the American life they should do something about this as it has gone on long enough!!!
