Any calls I get like this that have only a state name and no voice mail left - I divert each number to go direct to voicemail. Phone doesn't ring...no voicemail...problem solved.
Received this call on my cell phone which really ticks me off! Offering a 2 day cruise in exchange for a short 30 minute political survey!!??? Must be a cruise up s**t creek without a paddle. Anyway, sure would like to find out which political party is funding this crap! Glad to have this webby to vent frustrations. Thanks.
Regarding the post wanting to know who the political group is sponsoring this... there is none. It is a scam to get you to divulge information and perhaps book you on a scam vacation.
By saying they are a political group, most people will hang up and not report them, since Congress says blind calling and ignoring the Do Not Call List for political reasons is OK.
Yes, you are correct. If the call is for political reasons then they don't have to follow the Do Not Call guidelines. However, when you find out it is NOT political, get their name and address and report them to the donotcall.gov site.
