on july 1 , 2014 received the same phone call everyone else got. the guy's name was Kevin Miller, had a accent i thought was spanish, but maybe it was indian - and he was looking for my dad who's been dead for over 20 years. I played him for awhile as he said he was from the IRS and needed to talk with dad immediately about some back taxes. When I got tired of the game I cursed he up, down and sideways and told him he will rot in hell. He eventually hung up. I know this doesn't affect these scumbags, but it made me feel better as my elderly mother got taken in a similar scam a couple of years ago for a lot of money.

•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.
Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
Got a call from this number saying that I have IRS Fraud - kind of scary, called back and asked the lady who picked up the phone if they are IRS, she said she is on another call and will call me back, but I insisted to answer me first if they are gov IRS, she responded yes...very weird and seems to be a scam
ADD ME TO THE SCAM LIST. MY CALL CAME IN ABOUT AN HOUR AGO AND WAS LEFT ON MY VOICE MAIL. THESE CRIMINALS MUST "REALLY" FEAR OUR GOVERNMENT TO GO SO FAR THESE DAYS AS TO LEAVE MESSAGES!! IN OTHERWORDS, EVEN WITH PROOF CAN'T DO A DAMN THING ABOUT IT! I FOR ONE HAVE BEEN GETTING ALOT OF SCAM CALLS LATELY ALL FROM CALLERS WITH SOME KIND OF ACCENT. SAME WITH THIS ONE. HE LEFT A MESSAGE SAYING HE WAS "FROM THE IRS SERVICE IN SEATTLE WASHINGTON. HE NEEDED TO SPEAK TO ME REGARDING MY BEING REPORTED TOTHEM FOR POSSIBLE TAX FRAUD AND THAT I SHOULD RETURN THEIR CALL TO AVOID POSSIBLE FINE OR ARREST".
FORGET CALLING THE GOVERNMENT, CONSUMER PROTECTION, ETC. BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT WITH NO HELP AT ALL. WE'RE ON OUR OWN FOLKS. GOOD LUCK!
