Same as others, sometimes I mess with them and keep them busy as long as possible and others I just tell them I do not even have a computer, they are simply scam fools.
We've gotten several of these calls from this number and others. Caller ID indicated "Dir Assist WA." Caller spoke perfect English, but with a heavy southern India accent. Today's call didn't mention Microsoft, but he said he was "calling regarding your computer. How are you today?" When I responded "Skeptical, since I don't own a computer," he said nothing more, then he disconnected.
Same thing, Indian accent telling me he was with windows and I had problems with my computer. I hadn't even had coffee yet so I hung up on him. He attempted to call back but I did not answer. Reporting to state attorney general as soon as they open. Believe this is an attempt to identify my computer for some reason.
09.11 pm, EST, Australia.
Just answered a call from "Overseas 206 555 0100".
A male voice, probably Indian accent, asked to speak to the "computer department". I said there was not one and "I know this is a scam". He hung up.
That was the third call since last night. Other two calls were from "Overseas Unknown Number" and hung up immediately when I answered the phone.
