Once again this man with a VERY thick Indian accent contacted me and said that he was calling about a loan that I had defaulted on. I told him that I do not have any loans currently and he has the wrong person. I again asked who he was and what company he was with. He hung up on me. This has happened at least once a month since June this year. The area code is the same, but this time the Google search said it was from Washington State. Prior phone number searches showed New York, New York and Washington D.C. I have reported this to the local authorities.
Once again, two different men (first 'John Adams', then 'Mr. Mcdonald' with VERY thick Indian accents contacted me, identifying themselves as 'investigators'... requesting a call back. After searching the phone number 206-567-2955, which originally showed up as a cell phone, it came back as unlisted in Washington State. There was a second phone call, hacked through the 911 line and 911/non-emergency line for the law enforcement department of my city. This person identified themself as an officer, and provided a badge number (after returning the call to a VERY surprised county sheriff's office, they confirmed that their department had no one matching the name or badge number provided). This person fraudulently identifying himself as law enforcement threatened me with arrest, and told me to call the 206 area code number (they're obviously working together). The call back number the 'officer' gave me was a magic jack number. DO NOT fall prey to these calls. Just ignore them.
Today, I received a phone call from Officer Andrew McDonald from this phone number. He told me I was in a lawsuit from Fast Cash USA. If I would pay them the money owed, they would drop the lawsuit and my credit would not be destroyed. When I refused to send any money, he told me the paperwork would be delivered to my door by a police officer tomorrow morning.
