Totally a scam and most annoying. Can't anyone find these crooks ? I worry about those who will take them seriously and naively give in out of sheer fear.
Will they never stop? It's "David Grit" from the United States Treasury. (Sure it is) And he is calling about an enforcement action by the United States Treasury against me (no name). Failure to respond to this message will result in a hearing before a magistrate (or some other official I forget) and enforcement against me. Please call him back at this number and allow him to "help" me. What a crack. It's a robocall and on a constant loop, so if you just put the phone down and allow the message to continue playing, you can rack up surcharges on his phone line. NOTE to those that run this site --- Could we please have an option on Call Type for "Scam"?
This 206-567-7293 just keeps calling and calling so I figured I would call and see what they said. I already knew it was a scam but played along for a little while. I wanted to see if they asked for money but they did not. They said they had to send documents to my lawyer. As soon as I said I do not think you are from the Department of Treasury, they hung up. They may have asked for money if I keep going but was starting to get pissed off by the tone the lady had with me. She was getting aggressive saying why did you ignore this and not respond. So since I had nothing better to do, I just kept calling back just to irritate them. They have blocked my number from calling after my 5 phones calls. Hopefully that will end their scam with me at least. I hope no one falls for this!
