Totally a scam and most annoying. Can't anyone find these crooks ? I worry about those who will take them seriously and naively give in out of sheer fear.
Recorded call stating from United States Treasury Dept, I hung up and redialed, got a human with same voice who kept repeating he was from treasury dept and was I aware there was pending legal action. Told him I know this is a scam - he hung up on me. I redialed again, rings and then busy signal. Must have blocked my number.
A "David Gray" from the United States Treasury called about an enforcement action by the United States Treasury against me (no name). Failure to respond to this message will result in a hearing before a magistrate or a Grand Jury for a criminal (something) against me. Please call him back at 206-567-7293 and allow him to "help" me. It looped 3 times, and I was able to record one of the 3 loops.
received the same call from David Gray stating he was from the United States Treasury and failure to return the call will result in a hearing before the court. Called in June and in October.
I got this call from david grit this morning. Something about enforcement... US treasuries... Something something call him back 206-567-7293. Glad i read on it sounds like a scam to me. Wouldn't they send you something in the mail or even an enforcement officer if it were that important?
This appears to be an ongoing robot-call scam, which we have received multiple times, I believe coming from more than one phone number, including twice today. On the recording the male caller proceeds to deliver the following threatening message "Hi, my name is David Grec(?) and this message is intended to contact you regarding an enforcement action executed by the United States Treasury intending(sic) your serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an issue of appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offence. My number is 206-567-7293; I repeat 206-567-7293. I'd like you to call payseducs(?) and help us to help you." I am not sure about the last name or the unintelligible company name as the recording is poor quality, but these are most likely made up names anyway as this is clearly a scam.
