Called and left a computer phone number no message other than the number. I called back and a foreign guy said it was IRS. I hung up and laughed! They had called me several months ago but that time they left a voice message saying it was the IRS calling and I was in trouble. Also to call back. I reported that number here too.
Calls originate in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers. They use 206 area code (Washington State) because they confused Washington DC with Washington State and think that somehow they are the sam e entity. They basically want to intimidate the people they call. Ignore and block the calls.
Just received a call in which a synthesized female voice said the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and I could get more information by calling this number. Of course, I didn't. Thanks for hosting this site where we can see what's going on!
These calls keep coming in same as above a recording telling me to call the number that im being sued by the IRS!!!! first of all the IrS will never call you all issues are done by mail! Please dont get caught up in this scam.
