They area code shows they are in Washington state, not DC.

The same thing just happened to me. Except I was to get the my via western union. I knew something is fishy. The government never gives me money only takes my money. I never called the number to give the the grant Id number

Same thing here, they call all the time and they used to call also for an other person who was registered under my phone number, scary... They did had my address rite... I'm calling my carrier virgin mobile...

the same thing happened to me.  the exact same amount, the same Indian accent, the same request

It just happened to me 12/9/16
A man with an east Indian accent said I was entitled to $9,200 grant, gave me a reference number and a phone number to call.   As soon as I hung up I called the FBI and reported it.
