Scam-the Government does not randomly call people and award them thousands of dollar because they are a good citizen, pays their bills on time, mows their lawn every 5 days or brushes their teeth 3 times a day. To receive a grant there is a strict process that must be followed. In addition, these clowns will have you pay an acquisition fee (maybe $250.00 or so). So they get your money and you get taken to the cleaners (you get no money). There is no free lunch, no free money and the only free cheese is in the mouse trap. Do not call them.
It is a scam-the government doesn't call you and just offer a grant (especially one where you would have to pay to get the money, like scammers tend to say).
I received a Call from Private Number saying I have been veryLucky selected for Federal Grant $ 9200 for immediate payment by Cash or Check among 1500 good US Citizens - Caller had an Indian accent probably sitting out of Country so nobody can trace him and he told me wrong name not an Indian.He told me to Claim this I have to buy ITune Card for $250 and activate it as per his instructions and keep it safe and Next day I will get Check of $9200 I can use anywhere. He gave me Grant Approval ID and mentioned Phone # to call and confirm and this was also foreign Voice of different person.
Was called several time before I was connected to someone with a accent. I didn't understand most of what she was saying and I was confused but she would not give me any information. They wanted to send me $9200 either straight to my bank account or western union. Then did not ask for any money but they wanted me to call this number and give them the code number. She had my full name and address then asked if I was single or married and age. I asked how she got my name and number and how I selected for a grant that I never signed up for. She rushed me off the phone and said she would call back on Monday to give me further information. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said NO I will call you back Monday. I kept telling her I wanted a manager then she finally hung up on me. I then tried to call this number and I kept getting music over the phone.
