I just received a VERY RUDE Call from this number. They asked for my husband, I told him he was not available he told me "will you tell him I am on the line?", I asked again "who are you?" and then he hung up.
As stated below, when you call back it says number is not available/disconnected.
Very unnerving.
I got a call this afternoon and they left no message. Usually you can call the number back and be removed from their call list. This number, when you call it back, claims "not to be in service or is disconnected at this time". How can that be ??
This is Safelink Wireless (safelinkwireless.com). I had called them yesterday to help my elderly father set up his new phone with them using his old number. The call was a recording to say the setup was completing and to call 1-800-378-1684 (I haven't made that call yet but providing the number here in case it might help someone else out).
This number appeared on the caller ID, but there was no message. I recently made a call to a local Seattle radio station which consequently has the same advertiser as the one listed on Bradley’s post. Knowing how businesses routinely sell their contact lists to sales groups for profit, I wonder if this is one of those cases, especially when I read other posts explaining that the call was for sales from cable companies, computer companies, service to vets, etc. Just another attempt to prey on the emotions of the unaware, uniformed public. If your compute has fax capabilities, a balloon icon will appear when incoming calls are rec'd. Click on this balloon, and the fax monitor will answer the call. Let the scammers listen to the annoying, high pitched fax tone.
