Lady said she was from the "Solar Energy Choice Committee".
This of course does not exist - google it and all you find is telemarketing complaints like this one.
I asked where they were located and she said the call center was in Santa Anna Ca - but she had a spoofed Seattle phone number. (Most of these calls come from Van Nuys Ca or from Florida.)
She claimed to represent the six largest solar energy installers in the country (Solar City, Verengo, Sun Run, Horizon, Sun Edison, OneRoof Energy). However, I know that some (if not all) of these companies denies any use of cold-calling telemarketing. When asked how they got my name and number - she said she was told that I had expressed interest in solar or green energy at some point - this is simply not true.
These solar energy lead hunters call millions of people and try to set up a free consultation appointment - a lead that they then sell to a local solar installer. They are just a phone center boiler room that violates telemarketing laws.
When I asked to be removed from their call list she said that she would do that.
I doubt it, but we will see if they continue to call as usual.
