I have had at least 5 calls from this number this week. I tried calling back once and I just got dead air. After listening to their 3 voicemails which just repeated the call back number, I called back and someone who barley spoke English answered saying they were with the IRS and that there was something wrong with my taxes and that I owe the IRS. I told them that there was nothing wrong with my taxes and he kept saying I filed them wrong. I kept telling them no and asking not to call anymore and they eventually hung up on me. Hopefully they will not be calling anymore.
Scam call saying they were from the IRS and I owned money. I worked for the IRS and believe me they will not call you. You will be notified via mail...
Recorded message told me that the IRS has been trying to get a hold of me and that they are filing a lawsuit against me. Message advised me to call them and repeated the call-back number twice.
same here....@11:05 this morning. My I.D. caller showed this call was from a cell phone. Don't think the IRS would call from a cell phone. Pretty scary tho.
This is my 3rd call from them. 1st time I answered and there was no sound at all, just dead air. 2nd time they left half a message about me needing to call in ref to a case number (because it was a robocall, they started their recorded message as soon as my cell started its I-can't-come-to-the-phone message). This time is was just a garbled bunch of weird sounds - like a butt-dial. What is this world coming to if computers are butt-dialing people! {:-)
