I have had at least 5 calls from this number this week. I tried calling back once and I just got dead air. After listening to their 3 voicemails which just repeated the call back number, I called back and someone who barley spoke English answered saying they were with the IRS and that there was something wrong with my taxes and that I owe the IRS. I told them that there was nothing wrong with my taxes and he kept saying I filed them wrong. I kept telling them no and asking not to call anymore and they eventually hung up on me. Hopefully they will not be calling anymore.
Got a message on my home voice mail claiming to be IRS and they are filing suit against me. Didn't ask for anyone by name. Such a scam. IRS WILL NOT call you. They ALWAYS contact you through the USPS via certified mail. (I know because we have had dealings with them before). Do not fall for this. It's a scammer (probably foreign) trying to get your info.
Received a phone call starting it was the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me. They left a voicemail recording. I called the number back from another phone other than my cell. First I got dead air, they second time, someone answered and it wasn't the IRS. SCAM!
Got a call from this number spoke to a gentleman that didn't speak clear english. He stated was the irs and knew my first name. Told me I owed $11000 from 2009 to 2014. Asked me to give him my address and last 4 of my ssn I told him I'd have to call him back after I did a little research. He told me if I hung up the police would be at my door in 45 min. Since I had just moved 2 months ago I asked him what address he was sending the police to and he gave me an address I lived at 6 years ago... I told him good luck with that and he hung up on me... what a scam
Just received an automated message from this number saying is was the IRS and the were pursuing a lawsuit against me. Did some research, called the number back and a foreigner with broken english answered stating they were the IRS. I laughed and told them that I knew sit was a fraud and I was reporting them. At this point he threw some choice words at me and hung up. LOL Such a scam!!!
