Must be a new phone number they are using as I can't find this number online.
I've been getting these calls and more from multiple numbers since I tried to enter the Publishers Clearing House lottery. I guess they sell our numbers!!!
This phone number has called 4 times today. I picked up twice and refused to pay asking to speak to a supervisor each time. I then was verbally berated for not wanting to take care of the matter now and that cops would be at my house within 20 min. if I did not pay immediately. They did not use my full name when asked and refused to send any documentation about the matter saying they did send a letter but it was returned to them without my signature. I stated how can i be liable for something I'm not aware of and was again verbally berated for trying to avoid paying. IDIOTS...and yes, not acting in a professional matter was a dead giveaway for a scam....
I just got a call from this number and the VM said that the IRS had a lawsuit out against me. So of course I called back right away...The first time nobody answered and no mailbox was set up. I called a second time and a man with a Nigerian accent (Sketchy) answered the phone saying that I had filled fraudulently from 2010-2014 and that I owe $2000 and if I don't pay I will be arrested. I asked for documentation because I have not gotten any notification in my mail and he said that they couldn't (Sketchy). I did ask them if they had my right mailing address which they were able to recite (Scary) but I pretty much hung up on him because the IRS will definitely send you something in the mail/email before they call you to arrest you! I pretty much hung up on the guy smh
Got this phone call Wednesday. Said I owed $1900 from 2013-2015 for "mathematical incorrections". An Indian man said I have to pay now or be arrested and try my luck in court. I told him I'm in class right now(college) but I did my taxes through H&R block and they will resolved the matter. He said I can't call them that I need to handle the situation now or be arrested. First time getting a scam call so i started to panic and told him what do you want me to do I'm at school. He said leave now and go straight to a wal mart and transfer the money over. I said Walmart is 30 minutes from me and he said that's fine he would stay on the line. My girlfriend in te mean time called her mom and told me it's a scam. I told the guy that I have to hang up and again threatened to send an officer to arrest me. I said well we'll see and hung up. They then called 5 straight times from that number then I got three straight calls from "911"
