All phone numbers are recycled. No one gets rid of a number without a good reason since it a pain in the butt to notify everyone. So now you know why the former owners got rid of that number.
I missed a call from them, but called it back. It's very obviously a scam but I managed to keep the guy on the line for a good 10 minutes before he got pissed off at me and hung up
I just got a call from this number and ignored it, but when I called it back, I got a message saying that the Google subscriber was not available and please leave a message. I've had this phone number for all of two months and these scams just started up a couple days ago. I don't know what I signed up for that started it, but I intend to find out.

a foreign guy called saying he can give me a break on my credit cards. I told him I did not have any credit cards and then proceeded in asking if I was married and to take my clothes off
So tired of getting calls from this so called government agencies giving funds for education or whatever the flavor of the day is. It seems that if I go online and check out a site I start getting bombarded with calls for about a week or so after I have told repeatedly to be placed on "do not call" list. Yes. I know they are scams, just irritating to be interrupted at all times of the days or night with these call.
