The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS has filed a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number, 2089737888. Thank you."
Received a call from 1-206-973-7888. Caller ID was 'Seattle WA'. Checked 800 Notes and blocked. A quick pick up and hang up and then I block them after checking 800 Notes.
Automated message saying this was a final warning from the IRS claiming I had not paid taxes and were filing a lawsuit. Caller ID said it was from Seattle. Female voice. Don't fall for it!
I recieved a call claiming that the IRS was about to file a lawsuit against me and that the call was my final notice. Since my address is current with the IRS and I received nothing in the mail, I suspected this was a scam. When I called back they hung up on me when I started questioning them. I reported the phone number to the IRS. Don't know if it will do any good.
