They called and I answered but they didn't say anything. Probably cause I hang up on them and my roommate is an elderly altzheimer man who will fall for any ploy and talk to anybody. I called them back and got a recording saying that number not in service! OK????!!!! Wth
They continue to call saying my window operating system is giving off alert signals, etc....causing security risks.
When I told them to stop calling, that I know they were a scam, he asked me if I wanted to (foul language).
They have called my house three days in a row.
I got this call claiming I got a roughly $1200 government grant, they just wanted to know where to send the money. I saw this is a seattle # but the lady had a very heavy accent (asian) and was clearly reading from a script. I got a similar call days before about the computer issue alert signals, error messages etc, so I was immediately sceptical when I saw the previous post describing that. They will charge you $149 for a licenese to fix it and become quite irate when you dont comply. Seems like the same people using different angledifferent #
no ...you call them back.............tell them someone called........since the number in india that they use is spoofed you have no worries...........then ask them what they want...........they will tell you to go buy a green dot money pak voucher and put 250.00 on it. then call them back. after you give them the code a twelve digit number on the back of the card they will hot wire you 5000 today adn 4000 tomorrow........i told them i need 9000 then read them the number off the back of any card that is pre paid and there is no money on it such as a walmart gas card. give them the first 12 numbers. have them run it....then they will tell you that you gave them the wrong number then give them the last twelve that you were mistaken then get a friend to pose as the manager of walgreens and insist it is a green dot card....then put the phone on speaker and tell them after they have endlessly ran the card.........and call you stupid..........correct them and tell them that they are the dumbasses............how can you get money off a walmart gas card? now who is stupid..........dont put the phone near your ear he wil be yelling really loud. this worked once now its gonna work twice..............[***] have fun with it
Numerous calls daily offering a $7,000 grant through educational department. Became very irate when I would not provide information regarding my bank account or wire transfer. Very thick middle eastern accent and very difficult to understand.
