At first I was going along with it. Today the person actually sent me a check. On craigslist, I asked for $350 and the check says $980. The person told me earlier, that they added extra funds for a "shipping fee". It was weird to begin with, but over $600 shipping fee told me it was a scam. Also it said that the return address was from New Castle, DE, however, the post office mark said it came from Charlotte, NC. So I still have this person believing that I don't have the check yet and I asked him what the next step is once the check is cashed. I can't wait for the answer. I want to go to the police and give them all the evidence, but I doubt they will do anything. (I might anyway) I really hope they could do something so a more naive person doesn't really get scammed.
