These people call you out of the blue, catch you off guard.
They circle like a shark finding out all they can about you ready to lunge for the kill. They want to know your financial status, if you can increase your credit card limit, how much you can spend on your card and say all the things you like to hear about making money online. They hype you up to the point you are convinced its the right thing for you to do and without time to do any due diligence, you find you are giving over your credit card number and signing a contract - between yourself and VANGUARD INSTITUTE!
Folks, unless you have money to throw away, don't let yourself get caught it this web - because after handing over your initial thousands of dollars, they still want more later on as they upsell you. Remember this:

I've heard of vanguard institute and from what I understand they are legitimate my guess is they use an Internet phone system which uses multiple numbers and area codes and allows the calls to be toll free worldwide. I worked with an insurance company that had a similar system
Been getting calls from 207-358-3106. Spoke with Grant, and said he is in San Diego,CA., and calling to see if I will be qualified to be accepted for one-on-one mentoring for online marketing, before being interveiwed by Mr. Big. This is how they weed out the serious person vs. the not serious person. Also, he wanted to know about my financial info, like how much debt you are in, call your credit card company and see how much "investment" money I have access to. I gave him great numbers, no debt, and owed nothing.
Now I'm interveiwed by Mr.Big. He'd wanted to see if I fit into Vanguard Institute.net. way of thinking and how much money you would I make per month to quit your job. I'd passed Mr. Big's interview. Next was which credit card I wanted to use as my "investment". I didn't have one to give. Told Mr.Big that I'd wanted to check on VanguardInstitute.net and was telling me to check them out, cause you will not find anything on us. What?
First, I did not contact these people. They said I was entitled to one free mentoring session with the internet software I had brought, and they were contracted to help me get started with my own business. To get started with ease, I need to use my "investment " money to pay to get started right away. I've been getting calls from unknowns. They want to help, but money first. That don't seem legit. I did not call them for help. They called me. That's made them suspect to me.
Be aware that this investment they want is $5,000.00 - $10,000.00 initially. I had the same "speech". I inquired about the investment they wanted; once I found out about the size of he "investment", I told them I wasn't interested.
