I received a telephone call at 8:42 am on October 17, 2015. The caller, clearly in a call room, identified herself as being with WIndows support and said that my computer had unusual activity updating Windows indicating it was infected with a virus. She wanted me to access my computer (I have six and she could not identify the culprit) so that she could guide me through how to repair the problem. She would not provide a company name or send an e-mail detaining the problem. This was clearly an attempt to gain access to my computer system, which IS NOT infected.
Called from 207-622-4809. Called and tried to get me to give him access to my computer. Told him I worked for the Russian Mob and I would leave him, his wife and children as a pile of loose entrails if he didn't stop calling. Haven't heard from him since.
