Got a call on my old Magic Jack account from the 'IRS', saying that I needed to contact them at once or face criminal charges. A little digging online, I found out that this is a scam that first started in Maine last February. Apparently these guys have now moved their attentions to the west coast. According to the article I read, the Maine police stated that if the IRS wishes to make contact with you, it will be through the mail, NOT by phone or email. These creeps are especially targeting the elderly >: ( So, if you have any doubts, the contact the authorities in your area; you will not get into trouble by doing so!
