Got a call at 7:20 this morning. Do they really think that people are stupid to fall for that. I pressed 1 and let them know that I work for the IRS and that we don't call people. They hung up the phone. I reported them .
Got a call at about 7:00 Am this morning, Guy sounded like from other countries. I hung up right away when he was about to tell me his name and the purpose of his call. I received similar threats like this before.
Got. Call at 11 a.m. 8/29/16 where caller said it was a court case and I should call to explain. They implied that I could go to jail if I didn't respond. A nuisance.
Got a call at 7:38 AM. - allegedly from Portland Maine !! Right away, I know it's bu**sh*t. It's obviously originating from Dirtcookie, or some other sh*thole third world location, where they don't know about time differences between America and Dirtcookie ! Left a message on my answering device. An a**hole with some sort of accent, very hard to understand, very bad acoustics. He stated something about "...judge magistrate...let us help you" blah, blah, blah. I didn't pick up (main reason - I was asleep, and couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone and cuss him out). This was just a very "amateurish" attempt to scam me, and, like a lot of folks, I simply don't answer or respond to calls from numbers I don't recognize - and encourage others to do the same. BTW, it's good to see a growing number of posts ! Keep up the good work, folks ! See ya around the campfire !
