Called my cell. Answered. Male voice asked "Is Frederic there?" I asked Who? and he again asked for Frederic. I said there was no Frederic here and hung up.
Called and asked for "Emily". I said he had the wrong number and then he said maybe I could help him. He was calling about a some non-profit organization,(I can't remember exactly what about-- either a retired, veteran or handicapped persons fundraiser). At this point I said. "Stop, just stop. Take me off list." He was gracious enough to stop and say goodbye.
Beware of this caller...I was also asked for a donation for homeless vets, but when I said I was tapped out this year, he got nasty with me, and when I went to respond he hung up. If you want to donate, which I encourage, please be sure you know who your donating to, and do not do any over the phone.
208-917-8260 asked for John, stated his name was a Steven Bridges (only way I remembered was that I went to school with someone by a similar name) Didn't identify company, asked for donations for Veteran services. I stated that I already donate yearly for the VFW, he quickly said thank you and hung up. Busy sounds in the background, like there were other calls being made. Sounds like a scam, be on the lookout.
