Just received a call from this number (208-917-8260) and I answered "this is so and so"... my first and last name... which is how I answer the phone. An automated voice then asked for a man's name(I forget what the name was)... I then repeated "this is so and so"... and the automated voice asked the same question. The voice then asked for the man or the woman of the house. I then hung up.
Calling back I received a busy signal. Calling back again I received an automated message saying "Thank you for calling the donation center. If you are not interested in donating press 1. To end this call press 2."
Q: Why is there no option to donate?
A: Because this is a hoax and they KNOW that their number is being called by an angry person in response to their prank calls.
Just got a call. Asked for me by name. I confirmed this was she. He told me about the fund raiser for disabled vets and asked if I was interested in participating in a one time donation. There were three levels, $20, $35, and $50. They asked me if I felt comfortable with the level I chose and then transferred me to the closer who took my mailing address, said thank you and hung up. PO Box. They didn't ask for any other information other than my address and said I would receive the packet within a week.
