Since I reported them to the FTC for robo-calling up to 10 times a day, every day, from all of their various numbers for over a month, the calls have stopped. I filled out the complaint online and reported that they called numerous times a day and that the calls would either disconnect after about 15 seconds, or a real person MIGHT come on the line after about 30 seconds. I also reported that they were demanding personal info before telling me why they were calling, and when I refused to give it I was told they would call back until I did. Maybe enough complaints are coming in that this company will be stopped from their illegal practices for good!!
If somebody is on the line when you answer, they won't tell you why they are calling except that it is a personal business matter. When I tell them that I have no business with them, they say they will keep calling. They call from a new number almost every day. I have simply started returning the favor. Everytime they robo-dial me, I call them back...from my fax machine :). Those fax tones are very irritating in a person's ear. I don't waste long distance, either. I call them on their toll free number. It is 1-866-379-7849.
This is a collection agency that continues to call for someone that has never lived at this number and has different last name. They have prommised in the past to stop but calls continue on a daily basis.
IC System shows on the caller ID, and this is at least the sixth number they have used, and I have recorded. Asked for "Jennifer", apparently she had our "new" phone number in the past. Told them to stop or a lawsuit will follow. I am keeping records, lots of them!
My wife is getting same harrassing calls from this number and two others...one of which is a cell phone, they claim to be looking for a Hermina Del Rosario. I suggest we team up and start a class action lawsuit and hit them financially in the courts...this is how you deal with scum like this...tyake everything they own, and everything they will ever own PERIOD
