I HATE these calls! Every-freaking day! Wish I could be face to face with just one of these perpetrators. I would bludgeon the [***] to death with a baseball bat.  I hate them...GOD I F*cking HATE THEM!!!

called me- I missed the call- they did not leave a message.
returned the call- got a recording saying it was a non-wroking number.

Scam indeed: answered the call and a recording offered to lower my credit card's APR to 6%.  Sounds too good to be true? It is!  To verify this just call your credit card company of choice and check on this 'offer'.

This phone number belongs to a public utility named CallerID4U, Inc., which is run by Paul Maduno and Luis Martinez.  They have entered into revenue sharing agreements with telemarketers who make illegal unsolicited telephone calls.  They profit directly from these outbound unsolicited telephone calls.

This appears to be a clear violation of a number of laws, including 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.
