Judging from the number of complaints logged in the past 2 days, it looks like this is a fairly new scammy autodial. Got my call 2 minutes ago while at work. Mine is a cell phone number that I only give to people I do business with so it's looking like one of them may have sold my number. Adding to the "Blocked" pile.
When I type 209 (just the 3 #s) on my phone it showed as from Apple Valley MN, JC Christensen's and [***]. - a collection agency. (I put name on every numbers that calls my phone so I know who they are.) For me, I believe they are collecting left over medical bills (less than $500) for a hospital from my dead husband. They are very aggressive - even calling me on Saturday and Sundays. What I don't understand is that the hospital already applied a Revenue Recovery from the IRS (goodbye tax refund!) but this agency is also trying to collect it from me. Any advises on how to deal with this kind of heartless collection?
