This number called my Verizon landline, in an automated voice message left (female) said, "This is officially final notification from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file please call immediately for more information on this case file on this department number 209-330-1165."
Got a call irs. They left message. Called back they answered me irs.I hung up voice sounded like an accent . Scam. The official department would not abbreviate their name.
Have gotten a number of these calls- last one was on my voicemail and the first part was cut off. Always about a lawsuit -
IRS uses USPS, and if you ignore, they will send it Certified. They do not call (though you can always call them)
